Deaf and hard of hearing people can now share feedback more easily with the health regulator

3 August 2022

The independent regulator of health and adult social care in England, the Care Quality Commission (CQC), wants to hear from deaf and hard of hearing people about their experiences and standards of care they receive from GPs, hospitals and dentists (as well as care homes).

The regulator has recently launched SignLive on its website. SignLive gives you an interpreter so you can talk to the CQC in sign language, from a device of your choosing. For those preferring to communicate by text, the RelayUK app is available.

Please find out more how to give feedback using these services here.

Feedback helps the CQC in its monitoring of local services, and to ensure they are receiving safe and effective care. You can also read about the CQC’s role.

Feedback can also be provided through your local Healthwatch.
